About Me
I’m a web designer and developer currently located in North Wales, UK.
I specialise in passionately building stylish, standards compliant and accessible websites from scratch using the latest cutting edge web technologies, without cutting corners.
Originally from Wilmslow in Cheshire, I moved to picturesque North Wales in 1998 and have been interested in computers and the Internet ever since. Eventually I started to build websites on a freelance basis for local clients as well as work on my own web projects in-between my studies with some success.
I have a keen interest in online business and e-commerce, helping companies to make the most of their Internet presence and even sell more products helping them become a success in the online world.
I believe attention to detail plays a huge part in a successful web presence along with a website that has been carefully validated, constructed with accessibility guidelines and usability in mind. I also realise that accessibility guidelines should inform but not completely dictate design decisions and hence not to go over the top.
I’m both PC (Windows) and Mac proficient, and I am most most familiar with building websites in a Linux, Apache, MySQL & PHP (LAMP) environment. I’ve used and built my own Windows based systems for about 8 years until mid 2008 when I made the switch to Mac, haven't looked back since!
